The Canon R8 is a full-frame mirrorless camera that offers a balance of performance, features, and price. Suitable for wildlife photography, it uses the same 24.2MP sensor and Digic X processor as the more expensive Canon R6 Mark II. The R8 also has a 2.36M dot OLED viewfinder, a fully articulated rear screen, and a 4-channel audio system with an optional XLR adapter.
The R8 is designed to deliver high-quality images, fast autofocus, and 4K video up to 60fps. But it lacks in-body image stabilization while the mechanical speed is rated at 6fps. Likewise, the camera can also be paired with a new retractable 24-50mm F4.5-6.3 IS kit zoom lens, which offers a convenient focal range for everyday shooting.
